Growing up in the ever-expanding city of Glasgow, I was like a sponge, eagerly absorbing the vibrant cultural experiences around me. However, it was a serendipitous moment during my primary school years that ignited my passion for the performing arts. I vividly remember the day the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) selected me as a choir singer from our school, an opportunity that seemed like a dream for a curious kid like me.

Standing on the grand stage at the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra's City Halls in Glasgow and later at the awe-inspiring Usher Hall in Edinburgh, I felt an indescribable connection with music and performance. This early exposure to the world of art and expression left an indelible mark on my young, curious soul.

One pivotal turning point in my artistic journey was my exposure to the creation of new theatre. I had the privilege of witnessing the birth of original theatrical productions, where the fusion of music and storytelling took on an entirely new dimension. This experience challenged my perspective and fueled my desire to not only perform but also to contribute to the creation of fresh, innovative theatrical experiences.

I gained an MA in Theatre Studies and Music degree from the esteemed University of Glasgow and with a burning curiosity to explore the boundaries of theatre and performance, I embarked on the MLitt Theatre and Performance Practices program. This decision was driven by my desire to not only interpret the stories of others but also to shape narratives that resonate deeply with audiences.
