Mladen Sovilj

Mladen Sovilj is a film, TV and theatre actor based in Serbia. His filmography includes more than 50 titles and a wide range of roles, which makes him one of the most prominent actors of his generation in the Balkans. Due to his fluent English and distinctive acting expression, Mladen landed roles in the CW series THE OUTPOST, as well as in the movie THE MACHINE for Legendary Entertainment. Among the other successful projects in which the actor played roles stand out Serbian films IZGREDNICI and NEPOSLUŠNI (both nominated as Serbian candidates for the Oscar). In 2022, at the International Film Festival - FEST in Belgrade, the feature film HEROJI was premiered, in which Mladen had a leading role. In the period from 2020 until today, Mladen has played roles in domestic titles - films and TV series BRANILAC, JUŽNI VETAR, UBIĆE MOG OCA, KLAN, TAJKUN and many others. Last year, Mladen played the main role in the film POKIDAN, which premiered in Belgrade, while the TV series of the same title is awaiting its television distribution. Another title whose premiere is expected in 2024 is the Spanish - Serbian co-production THE SCAR / CICATRIZ series. In this project, Sovilj interpreted the character of Vanja, who speaks in Spanish and in Russian, thus opening up opportunities to work in the Spanish-speaking market. In 2018, Mladen Sovilj was awarded the Award for outstanding acting achievement at the acting festival Film Encounters in Niš, Serbia.
